Abstract of the course
Task/aim: “You will develop scenarios demonstrating the potential of AR-technologies for Design (above all for Architecture and Interior Architecture) and Art. You will learn about interactive design concepts in the realm of Augmented Reality. You should communicate by means of an abstract, still images and a short video clip.

 

BROUSSARD TRAVIS: "business-class holodeck"
In some business situations a simple video-conference is not adequate for an efficient meeting: the individuals involved in the meeting will have the ability to interact using various tools in a realtime AR environment.

By means of AR-technology the living room can be augmented with atmospheres and information changing according to the inhabitant’s emotions.

The room is the interface. The user can subscribe information from the internet and explore it spatial.

The inhabitant can add virtual people to join parties, play games – for entertainment in general.

The furniture of the living room is the interface the inhabitant can change the scenarios with. The pieces of furniture are linked concerning the content of the scenarios.

The furniture of the living room is the source of virtual life. Out of the cupboard, the lamps and other pieces of furniture waterfalls, plants and animals arise.

The elements of a private home have many stories and codes attached to them. With virtual extensions they can be displayed and brought into being.
